I say “stomach bug”, but I really know it as gastro (-enteritis), caused by our friend the norovirus. Transmitted by our almost-five-year-old coming into our bed last weekend to throw up, then our almost-ten-month-old throwing up all over us a few nights later, until finally we came down with it too. I was the only one who didn’t throw up, not that it made much difference for about 36 hours.

He got it at nursery, no doubt, for reasons I wish had to do with food but almost certainly didn’t.
