Start Spreading the News

Now that I’ve finished sorting out the New York photos there’s the little matter of writing a blurb to announce them... which if I tried to do it justice would take me as long again. So let’s just say that 55 pictures equals 55,000 words, and leave it there for now.

Key words: Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station, Central Park, Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Park Avenue, Madison Avenue, Broadway, Union Square, Canal Street, Pearl River Mart, Strand Bookstore, Time Out NY, Metrocard, subway, skyscrapers, Battery Park, Wall Street, Ground Zero, New York Public Library, Wired Store, pretzels, hot dogs, knishes, pizza, soup dumplings, donuts, Duane Reade, United Nations, Dean & Deluca, Macy’s, Saks, Les Halles, Tabla, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, Greenwich Village, Staten Island ferry, Brooklyn, Coney Island, New York Aquarium, Natural History Museum, MoMa, Frick, Memling portraits, Guggenheim, Russian art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Van Gogh drawings, King Kong, Empire State Building, tkts, The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy, Times Square, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Regis Philbin murdering “New York, New York”, Hotel Deauville, several other great restaurants and cafés whose names I don’t have to hand, and last but certainly not least, the congenial and generous Tippers.
