2019. Diego Velázquez, Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand of Austria, in Hunting Dress, 1632–33. I first saw this on a postcard at the Prado, Madrid, at the age of 18, when I looked almost exactly like the subject—less so when I saw the painting itself in 2017.
