1999

Speedysnail was launched on 30 July 1999 as a place to hold the first three chapters of The Stand-Up (set in Canberra, where I lived and worked at the time). The novel was soon supplemented by Ralph, the Cartoon Lounge and Grinding Noises, the last being as close as I got to weblogging that year; I was reading them but still reluctant to write one.
