Wombat File fans may have been wondering about Bill’s Movable Type woes. Never fear: all is now well, and the Wombat should be up and waddling again in no time. Just had to remove a malignant database that had grown to sixty times the size of its host.

Hmm. Feeling inspired, I just tried upgrading this site to MT 3.2 too, only to find that it wouldn’t let me use the same archive filenames I’ve been using; so I had to downgrade again, wasting hours in the process. Maybe next year. Or maybe next year I’ll switch to WordPress.

The Wombat Waddles again, at long last. Speedier work no snail could have done.

(I'm waxing very Old English here, with the backward syntax and the alliteration).

Lots of CSS to tweak, and (what the hell) I might actually get around to the redesign I keep dreaming of. Also (and this is where I have all of my stubby little fingers crossed), I've gone ahead and enabled TypeKey, in the hope that the inconvenience for posters will be offset by the 'bot-repellent properties of such a service.

What I really like is how KF has Expression Engine set up, so that you can do the whole "type in the image" thing right there, no need to run off and create a new account with TypeKey on your first drop-in. But since 99% of my comments are from die-hard quiz junkies, my hope is that they will all submit to five minutes of registration for the purposes of continued web-enabled trash talking about Chester A. Arthur, the Vinegar Caucus, and the invention of the automated panpipe.

Um...what I meant, actually, to say, was just, THANKS.
